The Strokes share new track "Oblivius" from forthcoming Future Present Past EP

By Benjamin Irons

The Strokes have released the first track off of their new Future Present Past EP - their latest release since their 2013 record, Comedown Machine - set for release on June 3rd.

The news came after frontman Julian Casablancas debuted the new track live during his new role as a radio host on "Culture Void" - the singer's new show on "unsigned-artist" radio station SiriusXMU. The new EP features three other tracks, "Drag Queen", "Threat Of Joy" and a remix of "Oblivius" by drummer, Fab Moretti.

"Oblivius" assumes an accustomed Strokes-esque role with a robot-rock footing, rife with summery notes and a flawless, definitively nostalgic Casablanca vocal performance. You can stream, and gather more info about the new record, via Cult Records.
